Meet Our New Directors
At the CSCC AGM on June 5, 2025, five new directors were elected to our board. They will enable us to strengthen our presence in German-speaking Switzerland, increase engagement of individual and corporate members, and prepare for our 50th anniversary in 2026. We wish them a warm welcome and look forward to working with them.
Hanna Abou Alfa is a quality assurance leader with 20+ years experence in regulated and non-regulated business, including manufacturing plants and R&D development settings.
Hanna has been a member of the CSCC since 2023. She brings a strong skill set in event planning as well as governance and policy to our board.
Von Saengsouriphanh is a funding and partnerships manager based in Zürich who specializes in community building in the not-for-profit sector.
Von has been a member of the CSCC since 2024. Her client-centered approach will be a key asset for the chamber, helping us to further discover and meet the needs of our corporate and individual members.
Robert Painchaud is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst working as Managing Director of the Vaud-based firm Stout.
Robert has been a member of the CSCC since 2024. His experience in investing in and facilitating business trasactions between Canada and Switzerland will be an asset to members seeking advice in this area. He will also help us in organizing events in Romandie.
Erika Merrizi is Director of Business Architecture at Thomson Reuters in Zug. Her experience includes operations excellence, business transformation, customer experience and financial services.
Erika joined the chamber in 2025. Her strong network in Zug as well as alumni engagement with higher education organizations will help us expand our corporate and individual member base.
Carolina Ledergerber is Client Partnerships Manager at Nexell in Zug. Her diverse work experience spans CRMs, business analysis, and management consulting.
Carolina participates in the chamber on behalf of corporate member Nexell. She is well-connected to industrial and political leaders and will help the chamber expand the focus and reach of its events and activities.

Canada Day Party - Zürich
On June 26, we tried out a new location for our Canada Day Party in Zürich - Frau Gerolds Garten. The event drew an impressive 75 participants! New connections and friends were made in an informal, accessible atmosphere.
✈️ Julien Staempfli and his partner Noémie Manco-Staempfli were the lucky winners of two free plane tickets to anywhere in North America, graciously provided by our gold sponsor and corporate member Air Canada.

Canada Day BBQ - Geneva
On Saturday June 28, the CSCC hosted an informal Canada Day BBQ in Geneva at Parc de la Grange. Several families and a lot of new faces came out to celebrate Canada Day on this glorious and HOT day. The group mostly kept in the shade while Mehdi and Paul worked the grill with the assistance of some of our guests. There was plenty of great food to share at our "Buffet canadien," as they call potlucks in Switzerland. Special thanks to Christopher Tan for the BBQ tongs and to Jill Monney for claiming the grills before the crowds arrived!
Daffodil Cocktail - Geneva
On May 5th, 40 people gathered at the wonderful Cercle du Rhône restaurant with its panoramic view of Geneva and the surrounding mountains for our annual Daffodil spring networking event. We were very happy to greet a good number of new people, over 50% of attendees were non-members!

Cocktail des finissants de l'Université de Montréal - Geneva
The Université de Montréal extended a warm welcome to CSCC members at its Alumni Cocktail Party held on Wednesday, April 14, hosted by Richemont at their stunning campus in Bellevue. The Chamber is proud to count the UdM, as well as many of its alumni, among its members. Thank you to Michael Pecho, Patrice Jolivet, Sandrine Guillot, and Suzanne Levesque for organizing this exceptional evening.
The Modern Salon Movement - Zürich
In April, CSCC member Anna Schmidt and her daugther Wiktoria Bobinska organized an evening of informal conversation as part of their Modern Salon Movement. The series brings together professionals from different sectors to discuss a topic of interest. Held at the Panerai watch boutique in Zürich, the evening focused on the notion of time, where guest speakers Florian Offerhaus, Joanna Bensz and Adrian Notz shared their perspectives with participants. A big thanks to Anna for organizing and extending the invitation to our members!
Cirque du soleil - Kurios - Geneva
In May, Members or the CSCC and guests were treated to a thrilling performance of Cirque du Soleil's Kurios - Cabinet of Curiosties in Geneva under the big tent at Plainpalais.
